CAMP OUT!

This artwork was really fun to make! I rescued a painting sitting in a sad corner from the Goodwill. It was a nicely painted nature scene with a super neat wooden frame. I altered it with some colorful buttons and painted a girl and some happy little yellow birds.

I'm calling it "Upcycled" art!

SKETCHES OF NATURE

These are some sketches I've done, with nature being the subject. I used charcoal on newsprint.

Wearable Art...Cloud Pins!

I created this little cloud pin when I needed something people "could wear" at the art fairs I participate in. I was tired of watching other vendors sell tons of trinkets.

I sell these along side paintings.

They are really fun to make.

Each cloud has her own personality.

The eyes are two French knots and the edges are hand stitched.

Buying from Etsy.com

I am so thankful to have found etsy.com

I have found awesome handmade items at super reasonable prices.

From a navy blue knitted beret, to customized wooden rings for my wedding, Etsy has everything cool!

I even bought a knitted Japanese zombie doll. Too cute!

California Edition Volkswagen 2009

I bought a new car. With the taxes rising April 1st in California, I picked up a sweet deal on a salsa red Jetta. It is a California Edition, which comes with butt warmers, a spoiler, and 17 inch alloy wheels. I love my car so much, I even gave her a name: Ketchup!

Alice and Wonderland Party at Royal T in Culver City

I had a great time attending the Royal T "Alice in Wonderland" party. The costumes were outrageous! I felt way under dressed.

I tried their Rose/Milk tea in the cafe. It rocks. It is like biting into a red,red rose with the thorns scraped off, dipped in sugar. It is served to you by french maids. Very fancy.

Best of all, I won the grand prize in a raffle "Another Alice" Pullip doll, in "Another Queen". The whole room gasped as I walked onstage to claim my kick-ass prize.

I'm going to have my own High Tea here next month. The VIP room is super sweet, with an awesomely huge white Murkami creature sitting over a victorian couch. I'm thinking of this as the sweet sixteen I never had.
